Scholarships and Fees
CMU Scholarships
- For international Ph.D. students (applicable to admission from Fall Semester, 2023)
- Tuition waiver for 4 academic years.
- Monthly stipends of NT$ 20,000 for the 1st academic year.
- The thesis advisor of Ph.D. students will provide the monthly stipend of around NT$ 20,000 starting from the 2nd academic year.
- Ph.D. students must submit a certificate of English proficiency with IELTS score 6.0 (or above), or equivalent level of other official global English proficiency tests.
- For international master students
- Tuition waiver for the 1st academic year.
- The thesis mentor of master′s students will provide the monthly stipend of around NT$ 10,000.
- For Full-time international students who have completed 1 semester of study at CMU can compete for a scholarship of NT$10,000 - 50,000 every semester.

Other Non-CMU Scholarships
- International students who apply for Fall semester may apply for government-sponsored Taiwan Scholarship via ROC embassies or missions in/near the country, please refer to the application announcements on the websites of ROC embassies or missions, or check the scholarship information on the website of Study in Taiwan: https://www.studyintaiwan.org/scholarship/degree

- Accommodation Fees:CMU dormitory places are available to undergraduate students only (School of Post-Baccalaureate Chinese Medicine is not included). New international undergraduate students have first priority for on-campus accommodation. For Beigang dormitory, the room is shared with 4 people and the rent is about NTD. 8,300 per person per semester. For Shui-nan campus, the room is shared with 2~4 people and the rent is about NTD. 22,700~25,700 per person per semester. The regulations and fee rates for CMU dormitory is subject to the announcement of Office of Student Affairs.
- Living Expenses:The average living expenses range from NTD 6,000 to NTD 10,000 per month. This figure may vary individually. Costs of textbooks are at one′s own expenses and can vary from program to program.
- Tuition Fee Refund Standards for Leave of Absence or Withdrawal:
- The calculation of "Time Point of Applying for Leave of Absence or Withdrawal" in this table is based on the date of students’ applications for the leave of absence or withdrawal on the Student Information System.
- To apply for the cancellation of Student Insurance, please contact the Office of Student Affairs.
