2026 Spring Semester CMU International Students Scholarship application has started!

Dear Students,

We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Spring Semester CMU International Students Scholarship is now open for applications!

Recipients of this scholarship will receive NT$10,000 to NT$50,000 at the end of the semester on a competition basis. Selection will be made by a committee chaired by the Deans of the Colleges.

Please note that this scholarship is competitive. Carefully review the eligibility criteria and instructions on the attached application form. Make sure to prepare and submit all required documents when applying.

★Application Period: 2026/03/9(Mon) ~ 2026/4/17(Fri)

★Scholarship amount: 10,000 NTD to 50,000 NTD at the end of this semester.

★Qualification of Applicants: (You need to meet all the followings)

1. All Students have to finish at least one semester to be eligible for this scholarship.

2. NOT eligible to apply or will be disqualified:

• Applicants who are not full-time students or who have extended their stay beyond the regular study period (2 years for a master’s degree and 4 years for PhD degree)
• Applicants who have not completed their first semester
• Applicants who are receiving the Government sponsored Taiwan Scholarship and Outstanding Scholarship
• Applicants who are in their final semester of study

3. For Undergraduate students:

• Must complete at least nine credit units per semester.
• Must reach a total average score of >80 (GPA3.0) in academic performance and >80 in conduct assessment with no penalty (or demerit) point in the previous semester.

4. For Master and Doctoral students:   

• Must reach a total average score of >84 (GPA3.7) in academic performance and >80 in conduct assessment with no penalty (or demerit) point in the previous semester.
• If no academic score is assigned during the period of research study or thesis writing, a Master’s or Doctoral student may submit a letter of recommendation from the advisor and a research/project proposal instead.

★After upload the application, please submit the signed application form to Haley Chiu at the Office of International Affairs (11F, Excellence Building, Shuinan Campus) before April 17th. Hard copies of your publications and other supplementary documents are not required.
