Dear Students,

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Fall Semester CMU International Students Scholarship is now open for applications!

Recipients of this scholarship will receive NT$10,000 to NT$50,000 at the end of the semester on a competition basis. Selection will be made by a committee chaired by the Deans of the Colleges.

Please note that this scholarship is competitive. Carefully review the eligibility criteria and instructions on the attached application form. Make sure to prepare and submit all required documents when applying.

★Application Period: 2025/09/24(Wed) ~ 2025/10/31(Fri)

★Scholarship amount: 10,000 NTD to 50,000 NTD at the end of this semester.

★Qualification of Applicants: (You need to meet all the followings)

1. Students have to finish at least one semester to be eligible for this scholarship.

2. Applicants must be full-time students. Those who are on extended stay beyond the regular study period (2 years for a master’s degree and 4 years for PhD degree), those who have not completed their first semester, those who have accepted the government sponsored Taiwan Scholarship, Outstanding Scholarship, or Whetstone Scholarship, and those who are in their final semester of study are NOT eligible to apply or will be disqualified.

3. (1) Undergraduate students should reach a total average score of >80 (GPA3.0) in academic performance and >80 in conduct assessment with no penalty (or demerit) point in the previous semester.

    (2) Master candidates and Doctoral candidates should reach a total average score of >84 (GPA3.7) in academic performance and >80 in conduct assessment with no penalty (or demerit) point in the previous semester.

4. (1) Undergraduate students should complete at least nine credit units per semester.

    (2) A Master or Doctoral candidate may submit a letter of recommendation written by his/her advisor and a project proposal when no score is assigned to them during the period of research study or thesis writing.
