At a time when the world is grappling with uncertainty, it is more crucial than ever to nurture and empower the next generation of leaders. The 3rd Global Peace Summit 2024 will serve as a powerful platform for emerging leaders to come together and contribute towards building a more peaceful and inclusive world.

Humanitarian Affairs Asia invites student leaders around the globe who are passionate about peace building to participate in the 3rd Global Peace Summit from January 10 to 12, 2024 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

This summit, themed "Empowering Future Leaders for Global Peace," aims to provide a transformative experience for participating students. Through engaging discussions, interactive plenary sessions, and impactful networking opportunities, the summit will equip young people with the necessary skills, knowledge, and inspiration to become advocates for peace.

As the summit focuses on human rights issues, it will be honored to have Loung Ung, a survivor of the Khmer Rouge massacre in Cambodia, as a speaker. She is the author of the memoir "First They Killed My Father", which is based on her personal experience, and later adapted into a film directed by Angelina Jolie. The film has turned out to be a Hollywood Film Award winner. Loung Ung hopes her own story could encourage the young generation to be aware of social events and experience the resilience of life and the power of hope.
