Time Management & Self-Leadership Workshop Helps Students Strengthen Time Management and Self-Management Skills
The Office of Global Affairs hosted the Time Management & Self-Leadership Workshop on September 21, 2026, featuring speaker Mark Lin. The workshop provided students with practical strategies for managing tasks, overcoming procrastination, setting priorities, and taking greater ownership of their goals and responsibilities.
Under the theme “From Procrastination to Professional Accountability,” the workshop combined interactive activities with practical exercises to help students distinguish between important and urgent tasks and make more effective decisions about how to allocate their time and energy. Participants also explored personal values and connected them with their goals, encouraging them to turn time management concepts into concrete actions.
Student feedback was highly positive, with participants describing the workshop as engaging, practical, and beneficial for their future development. The task-categorization activities were particularly well received, as they gave students an opportunity to examine their own priorities through hands-on practice and gain a clearer understanding of how to organize their responsibilities. Several students also expressed interest in participating in more workshops of a similar nature in the future.
Through activities that combine practical learning with interactive experiences, the Office of Global Affairs aims to provide students with valuable skills for academic life, personal development, and future professional environments. The workshop also reflects the Office’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities that support students’ holistic development and readiness for their future careers.
