OGA Organizes Cultural Exchange Seminars to Foster Cross-Cultural Understanding
To promote cross-cultural exchange and mutual understanding between international students and Taiwanese faculty and students, as well as to further enrich a multicultural campus environment, the Office of Global Affairs organized four cultural exchange seminars from May to June 2026. International students from Ethiopia, Ghana, Malaysia, and Haiti were invited as speakers to share their national cultures, social backgrounds, and personal experiences.
During the series of seminars, the speakers introduced their countries from various aspects, including language, cuisine, festivals, education systems, and cultural values, enabling faculty and students to gain a more comprehensive understanding of cultural diversity and differences. In addition, interactive sessions were arranged to provide participants with opportunities to ask questions and engage in dialogue, further enhancing mutual understanding and connections.
Through this series of cultural exchange activities, the program not only enhanced faculty and students’ awareness and appreciation of international cultures, but also strengthened interaction and friendship between Taiwanese and international students. It further contributed to fostering an open, inclusive, and globally oriented learning environment, demonstrating the University’s continued commitment to internationalization and multicultural integration on campus.
