“Meet the Dean of Global Affairs” Successfully Strengthens International Student Support and Engagement

To strengthen international student support and engagement, the Office of Global Affairs held the event “Meet the Dean of Global Affairs” on Thursday, 14 May 2026. The event combined a hand drip coffee workshop, discussion session, and career exploration activity to encourage meaningful interaction between international students and the university.

The event began with a hands-on coffee workshop, where students learned the process of hand drip coffee brewing while enjoying a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The activity created opportunities for students from different backgrounds to interact and connect with one another.

During the discussion session, students engaged in conversations with the Vice Dean of Global Affairs and faculty members regarding their academic journeys, future plans in Taiwan, and career development opportunities. Many participants appreciated the opportunity to discuss their goals and concerns directly with professors in a supportive setting.

Students also responded positively to the interactive nature of the event, highlighting the coffee-making experience and the opportunity to gather with friends and fellow international students. The event atmosphere encouraged open communication, cultural exchange, and a stronger sense of belonging on campus.

Following the campus discussion activities, participants attended a job fair at National Taichung University of Science and Technology to explore employment opportunities and gain greater insight into Taiwan’s job market and career pathways.

The Office of Global Affairs noted that similar student-centered activities will continue to be organized in the future to further strengthen international student support services and promote student well-being, campus engagement, and career development.
