International Students Gain Practical Interview Skills Ahead of Career Fair
To help international students prepare for the upcoming Career Fair, the Career Development team organized the Interview Skills and Self-Introduction Workshop, a practical pre-event session focused on strengthening interview readiness and communication skills. The workshop aimed to equip students with the confidence and strategies needed to effectively engage with employers in Taiwan.
During the session, students gained valuable insights into Taiwan’s interview culture from an HR perspective, including what employers look for in candidates and how to create a strong first impression. Participants also learned how to craft a compelling 60-second self-introduction and structure their responses using the STAR framework to highlight their experiences and achievements.
One of the most impactful components of the workshop was the mock interview practice. Students had the opportunity to simulate real interview scenarios, receive immediate feedback, and refine their communication approach. These hands-on activities allowed participants to apply what they learned and build confidence before meeting employers at the Career Fair.
The workshop provided a supportive and interactive environment where international students could practice, ask questions, and better understand employer expectations. Through practical guidance and real-time feedback, participants left the session better prepared to introduce themselves, communicate their strengths, and make meaningful connections with recruiters.
This pre-Career Fair workshop is part of ongoing efforts to support international students in their career development and enhance their readiness for employment opportunities in Taiwan.
