Resume Writing Workshop Empowers Students with Practical Skills and AI Tools
On 23 December 2025, the Office of Global Affairs hosted a Resume Writing Workshop, designed to help students strengthen their competitiveness in job applications, internships, and research opportunities. Students from a wide range of disciplines participated and expressed high satisfaction with the workshop’s practical and structured approach.
The workshop guided students step by step through the purpose and standard structure of a professional resume, helping them understand what recruiters and employers look for during the screening process. By applying the STAR method, students learned how to clearly present their experiences and achievements. Many participants noted that the systematic instruction made resume writing far more approachable and effective.
A key highlight of the workshop was its hands-on format. Students worked directly on their own resumes during the session and received one-on-one consultations and real-time feedback from the instructor. Participants found this personalized guidance especially valuable in identifying strengths and refining how their experiences were communicated.
The workshop also introduced the use of AI tools in resume writing, including how to create effective ChatGPT prompts and how to review and refine AI-generated content. Students agreed that AI has become an essential tool in today’s job search environment, and learning how to use it properly is both timely and highly beneficial.
In addition, students were introduced to several important websites and resources for understanding Taiwan’s job market, enabling them to align their resumes more closely with industry trends and employer expectations.
By the end of the workshop, students not only completed a substantial draft of their resumes but also gained a clear framework and practical tools they can continue to use in future job and academic applications.
