Alumni Career Sharing Session Inspires Students Considering Study and Work Opportunities in Taiwan

On 19 December 2025, our Office of Global Affairs successfully hosted a Career Sharing Session featuring distinguished alumnus Assistant Professor Ben Arie Eyal from the International Master Program in Acupuncture at China Medical University. The session proved to be highly beneficial for students who are considering further studies or career opportunities in Taiwan.

During the session, Assistant Professor Eyal shared his personal journey from being an international student to completing his doctoral studies, engaging in academic research, and eventually building a professional career in Taiwan. One of the key highlights was his detailed explanation of the academic publication process, including the typical timeline required for publication. This provided students with valuable and practical insights into academic career development.

He also discussed the advantages of staying and working in Taiwan, such as strong academic support systems, high-quality research environments, and a welcoming living atmosphere. At the same time, he candidly addressed potential challenges graduates may face, including language barriers, cultural adaptation, and career planning after graduation, helping students develop a realistic and well-informed perspective.

Assistant Professor Eyal’s inspiring story and honest sharing resonated strongly with the audience. Students expressed that the session not only clarified their understanding of studying and working in Taiwan but also motivated them to plan their future paths with greater confidence and determination.
