Successful Online Workshops on Taiwan Residency Regulations and Work Permits
On 2nd and 3rd October 2025, two online workshops on Taiwan Residency Regulations and Work Permits were successfully held, one conducted in English and the other in Chinese. More than 20 international students participated across the two sessions, gaining valuable knowledge about the legal requirements for staying in Taiwan and applying for work permits.
The workshops provided practical guidance on essential regulations, helping students better understand their options for extending their stay and exploring employment opportunities in Taiwan. Participants also had the chance to ask questions directly, ensuring they left with clearer insights into the procedures.
A key message highlighted during the workshops was that improving Chinese language proficiency is essential. While understanding regulations is important, the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is often the deciding factor in securing job opportunities in Taiwan. Students who actively work on their Chinese will be better positioned to overcome language barriers and gain a competitive edge in the local job market.
We sincerely hope the workshops were useful and empowering for all attendees. By combining regulatory knowledge with continuous efforts in language learning, international students will be better prepared to thrive in Taiwan.
