LEGO® Workshop Empowers Students to Explore Strengths and Career Pathways
On August 21st, 2025, the Office of International Students Employment Counseling hosted a unique “LEGO® Career Exploration Workshop”, blending LEGO® Six Bricks with positive psychology to help students discover themselves and creatively design their future.
The workshop began with simple LEGO® warm-up activities, allowing students to quickly become familiar with the bricks and use them to represent their current state of mind. They then built models of their hopes and aspirations for the future, while exploring their strengths and abilities. Along the way, students also identified challenges they are currently facing and reflected on possible directions for their career development.
The highlight of the workshop was the final group challenge: together, students built a giant LEGO® pyramid and identified their own position within the structure. This powerful activity not only symbolized each person’s role in a team, but also highlighted the importance of collaboration and mutual support.
Through this hands-on and engaging workshop, students learned to express themselves, recognize their strengths, and envision their future careers — all while having fun building with LEGO®.
