Pusan National University

Being the largest port city and second largest metropolitan city in South Korea, Pusan serves as a main port for international cargo and a multicultural center. Pusan National University (PNU) is a prestigious university, established in 1946 with two faculties, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Fisheries. Currently the university has 15 faculties with 257 professors and thirty thousand students.

Our president, together with other staffs, visited Korea and signed an agreement with PNU on 5th of March 2008. The students of CMU will have opportunities to study in PNU during summer holidays. Prof. Geun-Sung Song and the six professors from PNU visited CMU on 7th of July 2009 to learn the administration management of university and hospital with both Chinese medicine and Western medicine, because the Health Care system in Korea is similar to that in Taiwan. After the meeting, the guests visited the museum guided by Dr. Yun-Chung Hsaeh, the curator of Lifu Museum. The professors from PNU were impressed by the Lifu Museum and considered it instrumental in learning by their faculty and students. They also considered building a Chinese Herb Museum in their campus.
