2013 International Summer Program

In the spirit of international cooperation, China Medical University (CMU) is pleased to launch the International Summer Program to students from our partner universities or from those interested on becoming potential partners with CMU.
The program is designed to give the participants a better understanding about traditional Chinese medicine, Eastern health and Taiwanese culture. Besides, the buddy-buddy system is applied to enhance the cross-cultural interactions and mutual sharing of viewpoints between local and international students.
In addition to CMU students, there were 33 international participants from 10 different universities including 8 CMU partners: Bezmialem Vakif University, University of North Alabama, Mahasarakham University, Medical University of Graz, University of Ljubljana, University of Toronto, Health Sciences University of Mongolia, Chitkara University, and 2 non-partners: UCLA and Semyung University. The 66 participants (inc. CMU students) of 11 different nationalities did contribute the cultural diversity to the Program and make it more interesting.
To sum up, all the Program participants could not only gain the understanding of Chinese medicine and Taiwanese culture from the lectures, but also learn different cultures and share their views about medicine and heath with the others. We sincerely wish all the participants enjoy the stay in Taiwan, and may the Program be a life enriching experience after all.
