Introduction

National Taichung University (NTCU) was founded in 1899 at the Confucian Temple in Changhwa, Taiwan, and moved to the current site in Taichung City, in 1923. It has concentrated initially on teacher education. In 2005, the University was renamed National Taichung University, consisting of the College of Education, College of Humanities and Liberal Arts, and College of Mathematics and Information Science. In 2008, departments of management were established, and would be developed for the future college of management. 【Chinese Language Center】 The Chinese Language Center (CLC) at National Taichung University of Education (NTCUE) was established in 2008 to serve adults whose purpose is to learn to teach Chinese as a second language for a variety of social, professional, academic, or personal reasons as well as to popularize Chinese languages and culture. Currently, the CLC offers Chinese language courses of different levels, Chinese teacher training courses and testing, Chinese culture courses consulting services, and summer courses about the Chinese language and culture. *http://clc.ntcu.edu.tw/index_en.php
