Introduction

The University of Stirling is a campus university founded by Royal charter in 1967, on the Airthrey Estate in Stirling, Scotland. The University reorganized academically in January 2011 to 7 schools, incorporating 15 old departments: • School of Applied Social Science • School of Arts and Humanities o English Studies o Film, Media and Journalism o History and Politics o Languages, Cultures and Religions o Philosophy o Stirling Law School • School of Education • School of Natural Sciences o Aquaculture o Biological and Environmental Sciences o Computing Science and Mathematics o Psychology • School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health • School of Sport • Stirling Management School o Accounting and Finance o Business and Marketing o Economics o Institute for People-centred Healthcare Management o Institute for Retail Studies o Institute for Social Marketing o Institute for Socio-Management
