Introduction
Hubei University Medicine was established in January 1954. During the last 50 Years, the college has been leaping forward establishing a full spectrum of higher education in Medicine, Engineering and Management subjects, offering an outstanding environment for postgraduate and overseas education. Currently the college staff has reached the number of 1072 people, among them 456 are full time teachers, and 385 have the title of Professor , 295 are tutors for mastership candidates and 29 are for doctorate candidates. The college has 4 secondary schools , 4 affiliated hospital , 4State-level Medical research centers and 10 re-search institutions. There are 12 specialties for doctor degree ; 19 specialties for master degree; 17 specialties for bachelor degree and 9 specialties for professional training. At present the college, in total, has 12,000 Students. Since 1986 when it started to enroll the foreign and Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan students the college has successively established such organizations as the Foreign Affairs Department and the Overseas Education School, which serve as a relatively independent facility, providing overseas students with both the teaching and affiliated facilities , mean while, the staff of this department is always ready to bring assistance or Answer any questions. In the past 10 Years since its foundation, the College has trained Over 1000 overseas students from over 20 different countries and regions, had developed ability to receive about 50 groups of visiting guests per year and has exchanged and cooperated with over 50 universities, academic institutes and companies of over 10 countries.
